About the designer:
Before relocating to Australia, George was living in Colombia, his country of origin, where he obtained his Industrial Design bachelor degree in 2005 at the National University of Colombia.
He worked for more than 3 years in the design and development of custom lighting products as well as design and management of residential & commercial furniture projects for leading Colombian design companies such as Aitken Studio and Ormetal Lighting.
George started in 2011 an associateship at the iconic JamFactory Design & Crafts in Adelaide, SA, as part of their Furniture Studio, focusing his career on a more hands-on approach to the design practice and committed to the refinement of his timber transformation skills in order to manufacture bespoke design projects.
On May 2015 George accepted an offer to join the leading South Australian company Adelaide Expo Hire as part of their Custom Design division, contributing his wide creative background and design experience to the highly competitive Exhibition Design Industry.
George has been running his own design practice since 2013, undertaking numerous challenging commissions and delivering exquisite and well crafted design pieces across Australia.
